Brighton based company Acceler8 Learning & Development are holding a series of workshops, free of charge, for Thomas Cook employees made redundant. Director David Duncan, former cabin crew himself, felt he had to do something to help the many people who have lost their jobs.

Following the news that Thomas Cook Group had entered Compulsory Liquidation and ceased trading with immediate effect on September 23rd, it’s not just the customers aborad who have been left in limbo. Today, around 9000 staff in the UK should have been paid for September’s salaries have not, putting the pressure on for further employment.

Acceler8 are putting together some workshops for former employees as many of them are Brighton or Sussex based. The full-day workshops are totally free of charge for any Thomas Cook employee made redundant. The workshops will focus on CV writing, interview skills and personal resilience and tools will be provided to support the day, including a learning journal with lots of hints, tips and advice.
