The Dub Pistols, one of the UK’s leading live acts have finally managed to get together in the studio after years of one of the most hectic and enjoyable touring schedules of any working band and put together one of the finest albums in their illustrious history.

Frontline being their newest release and what is only their ninth studio album in a huge career that has lead them to becoming one of the most powerful live acts in the world. 12 songs is how albums used to be and how they should always be and this does not disappoint.

The band are joined by a stellar cast of fellow music geniuses with the likes of Horseman, Top Cat, The Freestylers, Myki Tuff and Chezidek alongside long-term Posse members The Ragga Twins, Lindy Layton, Natty Campbell, King Yoof and Cheshire Cat, and regular Dub Pistol frontman Seanie T.

The official release date of the album is 10th March but this is a great opportunity to get to meet some of the fans and say thank you for years of support. The band are overjoyed at their live success and are now putting all of their hard work into this masterpiece of an album.

It really is like one their live shows, full of jumping music and raucous enjoyment.

Having recently spoken to Pete York the energetic bass player he was hard pushed to give me his favourite track but after much arm twisting narrowed it down to Sound Boy Killa featuring Natty Campbell and on listening to it I am in agreement that it captures all of the energy associated with them.

The album release will be a chance to meet the band and get your albums signed and lets face a chance to browse one of Brighton’s best record shops.

Tickets for the album launch are available now at the Resident website.
